What you'll do
As a GNC Engineer intern, you will collaborate closely with our GNC team to develop our spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control stack.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test GNC algorithms for satellite rendezvous and proximity operations
- Develop relative navigation, sensor fusion, and state estimation (cameras, IMUs, GPS) techniques as well as navigation filter design
- Participate in system-level design trades and ensure seamless integration of GNC with other subsystems
- Contribute to software/hardware-in-the-loop test campaigns and system validation
What we look for
Minimum requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical, or any related engineering discipline
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Python
- Knowledge of orbital mechanics, rigid body dynamics, control systems, and estimation techniques
- You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adapt quickly, and enjoy solving hard problems
Preferred qualifications
- Prior work in student satellite teams or tech teams, building collaboratively
- Hands-on experience with spacecraft sensors like IMUs, GPS, and Star trackers
- Experience with Basilisk, GMAT, Orekit, or other applicable astrodynamics tools
