aAh! Magazine - Graphic Design team callout

At **aAh!** magazine we aim to provide a safe and supportive space in which students volunteers can be creative and have their voices heard, while boosting their confidence – and their CV – with skills in journalism, graphic design, publishing, social media, event management and much, much more.

We are looking for talented graphic designers forming the 2021 aAh! Magazine Design Team. The team will work collaboratively as a Collective. We are looking for inventive and creative Graphic Designers to curate the new print issue of aAhh! Magazine. Each print issue of aAh! Magazine interrogates one word which runs as a theme through our regular features, opinion pieces, spotlights, interviews, previews, art, poetry, flash fiction, photography and music.

We are currently recruiting for a number of volunteer roles and welcome applications and contributions from students. We are looking for a total of 8 designers:

The team will work collaboratively on a range of projects including aAh! print magazine, associated online platforms and marketing campaigns.

We are meeting every Wednesday at 3 pm - 5 pm creating a virtual studio to design, collaborate and share ideas. You can stay on the call of the virtual studio throughout the two hours or drop-in and out. The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 3rd February.

Brief

aAh! Magazine is Manchester Metropolitan University's official arts and culture student magazine.

Our editors are collating a range of features, previews, interviews, creative prose, poetry, artwork and photography that offers a critical, insightful and creative slant on the word DISRUPTION. We are looking to showcase inventive and thought-provoking perspectives to create a magazine that opens conversations and breaks convention.

We are looking for a Collective of graphic designers to respond to the content in the DISRUPTION issue of the print magazine.

Our brand is striking, bold and youthful and seeks to engage the diverse community at Manchester Met. Showcase your creativity, design and typography skills in our next print issue.
