GrowLog AI automatically creates a Google Sheets spreadsheet in your Google Drive and writes a new row every time you finish a chat session. This gives you a permanent, searchable garden diary that lives in your own Google account.

How to Connect Google Sheets

If you signed up with Google

Your Google account is already connected. During onboarding, GrowLog automatically creates a spreadsheet in your Drive — no extra steps needed.

If you signed up with email/password

During onboarding, you’ll see a step to connect Google Sheets. This asks you to authorise GrowLog to create and write to a spreadsheet in your Drive.

If you skipped that step, you can connect later:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select your garden
  3. Under Google Sheets, tap Connect Google Sheets
  4. Follow the Google authorisation prompt

Once connected, GrowLog creates the sheet automatically and starts logging from your next session.

What Gets Logged

Each row in your spreadsheet contains:

Column Content
Date The date of the session
Garden Garden name
Crop Crop name
Observation What you told the AI you observed
Action taken What you said you did
AI advice Key recommendations from the AI
Weather Current conditions at your garden’s location
Logged by Display name of the member who logged the session (shared gardens)

Where the Spreadsheet Lives

GrowLog creates the sheet in your Google Drive. The sheet link is stored in your garden settings — open Settings, select the garden, and you’ll see a link to the sheet.
