[About Work on Climate] At Work on Climate, our mission goes beyond job matchmaking. We’re building a platform to propel meaningful climate action, concentrating on one of the most critical yet overlooked aspects—nurturing a robust climate work ecosystem.

[About the team] Today our team is Events team is 9 total members geo located across US, Europe and UK. Our standard meeting schedule is once a week. We are upgrading all our events to truly connect people who can help each other, and build lasting work relationships and collaborations. Help us create and run these kinds of events!
[Role Summary] Why is this position open? What are the top 2-3 things you need this person to complete during their 3-6 month volunteer term? ****
- Project manage and execute up to 2-3 events end to end within a 6 month time frame (these might be in partnership with other organisations or part of an existing Work on Climate series)
- You might also be called on to join either as tech support or to facilitate an event planned by other volunteers.
- Work cross functionally and collaboratively with Sub Co and Marketing Volunteering Teams to deliver the events.

5 hours/week consistently for the next 3-6 months

🛠️ What will I do?
- You will deliver Work on Climate events and other scalable face-to-face experiences that educate and help community members on their climate career path, while at the same time building lasting work relationships between attendees.
✅ What skills and commitment do I need?
- Significant experience and skill at facilitating interactive events - excellent communication skills, understanding of group dynamics, empathy and intuition for how people respond to nuances of an event experience.
- Comfortable with or some experience in using the following tech stack to execute events: asana, canva, gsuite, slack, luma, notion, typeform, zoom
- High creativity, curiosity, and attention to detail - a strong drive to get the little things right without being told to, or needing someone to check your work
- Ability to show up consistently and reliably for weekly calls to build relationships, carry project work forward, and brainstorm with the Events team required.
