1. Data Stored on Your Device

Gita Kavach stores the following data locally on your device:

• Reading history
• Bookmarks
• Streaks
• Selected blocked apps
• Language preference
• App settings

The app also reads the list of launchable apps installed on your device so you can choose which apps to block.

This app list is used only for app blocking and is stored locally.

2. Accessibility Service

The accessibility service permission is used to detect when a selected blocked app comes to the foreground.

• The service checks the app package name locally against your blocked-app list
• It does not retrieve window content
• It does not read or transmit:
  • Screen content
  • Keystrokes
  • Text from other apps

3. Overlay Permission

The “Display over other apps” permission is used only to show the Gita Kavach reading screen when a blocked app is detected.
