Sam said GitHub failure emails needed to be marked read, filtered, and trigger review to disable the noisy task altogether. The agent handled mailbox cleanup and disabled the scheduler registry entry that was generating the unwanted alerts.
The sitemap-health-check entry in /Users/samaguiar/Documents/Projects/admin/scheduled-tasks/registry.json was set to enabled: false with a retire note explaining it was paused on May 21, 2026 pending review of scheduler path and alerting strategy. The Gmail daily triage memory was updated so GitHub failure notifications should be marked read or archived unless they represent a new actionable failure.
The underlying reason for the GitHub failure notices was not fully resolved in this session. The immediate action was to stop the noisy alerting and preserve a review path.
Decision: pause the noisy sitemap health task instead of continuing to filter repeated failure emails. This reduced inbox noise while preserving the option to re-enable the task after the scheduler path and alerting strategy are reviewed.

To restore the task, review the current registry entry first, then set sitemap-health-check back to enabled and fix the task path or alert routing before allowing notifications to resume. If the Gmail rule over-filters a real failure, adjust the Gmail daily triage memory and re-query recent GitHub notices.
The task was disabled in the session record and the Gmail triage preference was updated. This remains Needs Follow-up because the task retirement decision should be reviewed rather than silently treated as permanent.
Decide whether to retire sitemap-health-check, repair it, or replace it with a newer website health monitor. If repaired, send only actionable alerts and keep routine failures out of Sam's priority inbox.
