Differ is a safe place for students to connect and chat with peers. This is how to get started as a student

1. Sign up to a community

First of all, you must be invited or sign up to a community.

a) Use the invite link

Got a link sent per email or in your LMS? Good. Open it and do the following

• Click "join"
• Enter your phone number (Remember national code in the format of "+47xxxx")
• Enter the access code sent per SMS

Note! If you are already a member, the new community will be added to your existing user

b) Invitation from SMS

Have you received an SMS invite from your institution? Then you are already added. Go directly to step 2

2. Download the apps

Download Differ to mobile and desktop from www.differ.chat/download

3. Log in

Log in using using either your mobile or your desktop. Set up a profile with:

• Name: Your full name
• Username: your nickname. Similar to twitter. (For example: supergirl or mrlee)
• Profile picture: A nice picture of you 😃 Can be edited later from the mobile app
