GrowLog AI helps you track your garden, chat with an AI growing advisor, and automatically keep a diary of everything you do. Setup takes about 2–3 minutes.

Creating Your Account

1. Go to the GrowLog AI app and tap Sign Up.
2. You can sign up with:
   • Google — recommended, because it also connects your Google Sheets diary automatically
   • Email and password — works great, with a separate step to connect Google Sheets later
3. If you signed up with email, check your inbox to confirm your address.

Onboarding Steps

After signing up, GrowLog walks you through a short setup:

Step 1 — Name your garden

Give your garden a name (e.g. “Backyard Raised Beds”) and enter your location. GrowLog uses your location to:

• Look up your USDA hardiness zone automatically
• Pull local weather data for personalized alerts and advice

You can type a city, neighborhood, or full address. GrowLog shows a confirmation once your zone is detected.

Step 2 — Add your first crop

Add the first plant you want to track. You can enter:

• Crop name (e.g. Tomatoes)
• Variety (e.g. San Marzano) — optional
• Bed location (e.g. Bed 3, South corner) — optional
• Sow date and expected harvest date — optional

You can add more crops at any time.

Step 3 — Connect Google Sheets (email/password users only)

If you signed up with Google, your spreadsheet is connected automatically. If you signed up with email, this step walks you through connecting your Google account so GrowLog can create a spreadsheet diary in your Google Drive.

You can skip this step and connect later in Settings.
