Your PC may throw you a virus/malware warning. Rest assured, the file is completely harmless and will not impact your PC in any way, shape, or form. If you have doubts, however, feel free to join the Pokémon Echo Discord for some social proof.

In some cases, the game’s file parsing doesn’t like it when you boot up the game from your Downloads folder. If it throws you an ‘ERRNO’ error, move it to another location on your Mac, such as your Desktop or your Applications folder.

Android testing has been limited. You may encounter unexpected issues, but if handheld play is a priority, this option may still be suitable. Note that JoiPlay compatibility is not a development priority; if it works, that is acceptable, but there are no plans to address issues if compatibility breaks.

The current Launcher method that Pokémon Echo uses hasn’t been verified to work with JoiPlay. We’re looking into it.
Pokémon Echo can be ran on devices with an Android using the JoiPlay app. This requires some additional setup, though.
Download the JoiPlay app on the creator’s Patreon. The version of JoiPlay that is on the Play Store is outdated and unlikely to work.
Download the Windows version of Pokémon Echo. Extract all files from the archive and place them on your device’s internal storage. Do not run the game from an external drive or removable storage, as this may cause performance issues or prevent the game from running.
You may need to adjust some settings for the game to run correctly. Other configurations may also work, but the settings described on the page listed here are confirmed to work:
