The Basics
Application Process (Mandatory Electronic Submission)
The application must be submitted exclusively by electronic means through the University of JaƩn's Electronic Headquarters:
- Form: Fill out the standardized form (Annex II).
- Submission: Submit the application through the UJA Electronic Headquarters, using the "General Request" ("Solicitud General") option and addressing it to the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer ("Vicerrectorado de Investigación y Transferencia del Conocimiento").

In order to submit your application, you will need an āElectronic Certificateā. If you currently donāt have one (likely the case if you are not Spanish or have never dealt with the Spanish Administration), there is an alternative solution. Applicant Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be in possession of the required qualifications for the position (see Annex I for the specific details of each position).
- Hold a degree (Licenciado/a, Ingeniero/a, Arquitecto/a, University Graduate with at least 300 ECTS credits, or University Master's degree, or equivalent) that qualifies them for doctoral studies according to current regulations in Spain.
- Be enrolled or admitted to a doctoral program at the University of JaƩn for the 2025/2026 academic year at the time of application, or be able to be enrolled by the contract formalization date
Grounds for Exclusion
Those who meet any of the following circumstances may not be applicants or access the contract:
- Having started their predoctoral training with funding from other grants intended for predoctoral training.
- Being in possession of a Doctor's degree (from any Spanish or foreign university).
