2020 has been a year like no other. This is the only time in history where everyone has something in common to share. Emotions like fear, wearing a mask, and quarantine are some of those commonalities we all have in common this year.

Two vast circumstances transpired in my life this year. My little brother Sholem passed away after a bike accident in Miami and the establishment of GetAyuda took place.

If you would have mentioned to me any of these occasions would take place last year, I would think you are crazy. Sholem, 17, was the person closest to my life and a startup in the manufacturing/commerce sector was not appealing to me at all to consider my time.

Life has taught me to be open to any kind of circumstances as most of the times, they are out of our control. Better accept and identify ways to move forward rather than get stuck in the past.

For Sholem, I am turning pain into purpose by living my life in a more meaningful way. We established a nonprofit called Sholem Corazon Valiente to keep your legacy alive and empower teens with values and athletic development.

I know he would have wanted the best for me so I am enjoying and working on my passions multiplied by two.

For GetAyuda, we are doing this for entrepreneurs everywhere, showing it is still possible to start a company in 2020. GetAyuda was established at the beginning of the pandemic with just an idea from a friend that didn't speak good English.

Zeev, my co-founder asked me to make an announcement of a soon to become GetAyuda service. His idea was to facilitate companies finding a factory matching the quality and price of China in Mexico. COVID was the problem causing a lot of production to slow down. our focus would be for them to be able to sleep at night knowing we would be working 24/7 on their supply chain so they can focus on selling.

Even the name GetAyuda was a silly idea, but it stuck. So is the service we are offering. We will be offering top-notch customer support in English, due diligence, quality control, logistics, and much more to help commerce, DTC, and retail companies enhance their supply chains.

So, 2020, you have been full of surprises

You have taught me that as much as we try to prepare, we cannot predict the future. You have taught me I am able to thrive in times of crisis and stay optimistic. Even if the person closest to me was taken away forever from me. You have taught me to learn to navigate and keep trying even if I am scared and believe the world is unfair due to my circumstances.
