General Manager

Full-time | £45–£50k pa incl. tronc | London

Ria’s is a relaxed neighbourhood spot that brings together the simple pleasures of deep-pan pizza and natural wine. Since opening in September 2023, we've been working hard and fast to build Ria’s into something that brings many people joy through a simple glass and a slice.

Now, as we look to expand, we’re looking for a hands-on General Manager to help lead the charge — someone who thrives on the buzz of a busy service, loves leading a team, and has a sharp eye for detail and a head for numbers.

About the Role

As General Manager, you are the beating heart of the site. You set the tone, drive the energy, and take full ownership of operations. You’ll be responsible for delivering a best-in-class guest experience, developing a happy, high-performing team, and ensuring your site is operationally excellent and commercially successful. You’ll work closely with the founders and leadership team to bring the vision to life and shape the future of the business.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Service

• Lead the FOH team and set the gold standard for service — warm, smooth, stylish, and consistent with the Ria’s ethos.
• Champion team morale and motivation, ensuring everyone feels supported, confident, and excited to deliver.
• Be visible and hands-on during service, while staying focused on the big picture.

People & Culture

• Recruit, onboard, and develop your team, identifying future leaders and supporting their growth.
• Build a healthy, honest work culture grounded in mutual respect, collaboration, and accountability.
• Deliver regular 1:1s, appraisals, and training plans to build an engaged, high-performing team.

Operations

• Own day-to-day site operations, from rotas and ordering to maintenance and compliance.
• Ensure smooth and efficient service, proactively resolving issues and removing operational friction.
• Work closely with the kitchen to keep FOH & BOH aligned and service seamless.
