Gaise — Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 29, 2026
This privacy policy describes how Gaise (the "Extension") collects, uses, and protects your information. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
Gaise is a Chrome browser extension that lets you save items from any online retailer into a single closet and notifies you when prices drop. It is operated by an individual developer (the "Operator," "we," "us"). For any privacy-related questions, contact: madison.prjcts@gmail.com
What we collect
We collect only what we need to make the Extension work.
You provide directly:
- Email address — used to create your account and sign you in.
- Password — stored hashed by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see it in plaintext.
We collect when you use the Extension:
- Saved items — when you click "Save to Closet" on a retailer's product page, we store the product name, retailer name, product URL, product image URL, current price, and (when available) sizes, size availability, ratings, and review count. All of this is publicly available data from the retailer's own product page.
- Price history — every 6 hours, we re-check the price of items you've saved and store a timestamped price reading.
- Notifications — records of price-drop alerts we've queued or sent to you.
- Affiliate clicks (anonymized) — when you click "Shop Now" on a saved item, we log which item, which retailer, and the time, so we can verify our affiliate commissions. We do not log what you do on the retailer's site afterward.
We do not collect:
- Your browsing history outside of clicking "Save to Closet" yourself.
- Payment information, credit card numbers, or purchase history. We have no way to see what you buy.
- Personally identifying information beyond your email.
- Any data from non-retailer pages — the Extension only runs on the retailer domains listed in our manifest.
