28 years old | Farmer

I was born and raised in Foz do Arelho, where I attended primary school and later continued my studies in Caldas da Rainha. Throughout my journey, I have had the opportunity to work in various local companies, gaining experience in multiple fields. Today, at 28 years old, I work for a company in the primary sector that combines innovation and technology with agricultural production, a role that keeps me connected to the future while remaining aware of the importance of preserving our roots.

For several years, I represented the municipality of Caldas da Rainha in national powerboating championships, a sport that once brought hundreds of people to the shores of the Lagoon and remains one of my fondest memories of our community’s dynamism. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, skateboarding, and taking full advantage of everything the Lagoon and the sea in Foz have to offer, always maintaining a strong connection to nature.

I believe my generation has a responsibility to those who came before us, who knew how to live off the Lagoon and its diverse resources through unity, hard work, and community spirit. It is this legacy that motivates me to contribute to a Foz do Arelho that is more united, developed, and cooperative.

I feel that Foz lacks sports and leisure activities designed for young people, which promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen a sense of belonging to our parish. At the same time, it is essential that the village remains a place where older generations feel at home, valued, and integrated, without ever neglecting the importance of balanced and sustainable tourism, capable of respecting our identity and benefiting the entire community.

For me, Foz do Arelho is more than the place where I was born and raised: it is my home, my identity, and the future I want to help protect. I present myself because I believe that together we can ensure our land continues to be a space of unity, pride, and opportunity for all. We cannot let go of what makes us unique. It is up to us to care for Foz: for everyone, by everyone, and for everyone.
