A Short Hike

A Short Hike is an open world adventure game defined by its charming dialog and cozy atmosphere.

We aim to recreate its presentation, charm and its free spirit in exploration

Cast n Chill

Cast n Chill captures idealistic Americana fishing. It’s lush pixel art and sparse soundscape create a quiet experience, similar to actual fishing.

We aim to recreate this calm and emphasis on naturescapes.

Leap Year

Leap Year is a short platformer with Metroidvania elements. A key feature in this game is its emphasis in empowering the player through knowledge rather than explicit power ups. Each new tidbit re-contextualizes the world to the player and opens up new paths.

We aim to recreate this game’s “aha!” moments, providing the player a world that expands alongside their knowledge.

Emotional Pillars

Knowledge and Discovery

Every fisher has their tips, tricks and secrets, from what lures to use, when to use it, and where. By the end of the game, the player should be able to “read water” – their view of the world should be completely different light than when they first started.

Meditative Escape

The line is cast and all is quiet. There’s the gurgle of the river, the chirping of birds, the croaking of frogs, and the calmness of your breath. Whether it’s calm in the environment, or the simple pleasure of incremental growth, this game is your escape.

Exploration and Curiosity

Maybe I should try this lure… or maybe this spot will be better? Or maybe I should venture further down the river?
