In this 1-hour session, two members of "Teach the Future", Zanne and Janine, will share an introduction to the world of future studies. Their presentation will cover:

  3. The tools of foresight a. Some methods and tools
  4. Foresight in practice – examples from the field Guests Zanne Horell is a futurist and strategic foresight practitioner, and is a director at Teach the Future SA. Zanne has 16 year's of management experience in Finance and IT, and holds a post-graduate diploma in Futures Studies. Zanne is currently working towards a master's degree in Futures Studies at the USB. On top of this, Zanne is a research associate for the Institute for Futures Research (IFR), and a Member of the Association of Professional Futurists (APF). Janine Nel is the Director of the South African Hub for Teach the Future. She is a communication strategist and a research associate in the Institute for Futures Research at University of Stellenbosch, as well as a workshop facilitator. Janine holds a masters in Future Studies at USB, and is also a research associate for the Institute for Futures Research (IFR), and a Member of the Association of Professional Futurists (APF). The guests are joined by co-hosts Cobus Van Rooyen, a partner at Systems Innovation, and Bowen Feng, Community Builder at Systems Innovation.
