Computer vision algos are there to help the car perceive and understand the world around them so they can drive properly and safely.

Online simulations are used to simulate self-driving experiments using basic algorithms.

Uber

• Self-driving cars are nearer in the future than most people think due to the efforts from companies like Uber.
• Companies like Uber have worked on their cars for a long time with Google clocking in over a million hours of driving time.
• Uber is expanding in Toronto so now would be the time to get involved!

Hyperloop

• Hyperloop will drastically reduce travel time, just under the speed of sound.
• Hyperloop technologies are becoming open source with people like Elon Musk holding competitions and providing tracks for teams to test their hyperloop designs.
