Paydece case study

Versión en Español → Portfolio Frato

⚡Summary, in a nutshell

What is Paydece?

Paydece is a peer-to-peer (P2P*) platform that allows people to exchange fiat money* (such as pesos or dollars) for cryptocurrencies* (such as Bitcoin, USDT, or ETH) securely and directly between users. It was created in 2022 at a challenging time for the crypto world, which was full of mistrust and platforms with unclear technical interfaces. Its goal has always been clear: to create a human, simple, and friendly experience for everyone.

Who am I?

I am Pablo Frati, although I am known as “Frato.” I am a UX/UI designer who worked for 2 years and 11 months at Paydece and has spent more than 4 years exploring digital design. I am passionate about creating clear and human experiences, taking care of every stage of the process: from interface design to visual QA, documentation, and daily collaboration with the front-end development team to ensure that everything is aligned. I use tools such as Figma, Notion, Slack, and artificial intelligence, relying on technical resources to improve communication with the team.

I don't know everything, but I learn quickly and dive right in.

What is blockchain?*

Blockchain is a technology that allows information to be recorded in a secure, transparent and decentralized manner. In the case of Paydece, blockchain ensures that exchanges between users are recorded without relying on a bank or middleman.

What was my role?

As a UX/UI designer, I helped transform a complex tool into a platform that almost anyone could understand and use. From designing the exchange system to leading visual QA in the final redesign, I was part of the entire process.
