Hi! My name is Christian Hammond. I'm from Chico, currently living and working in the Bay Area. I work in the software field, running a company called Beanbag where I build a software product that other companies use to help build their products.
I built this as a way to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in Butte County, CA, and to help provide information that my family and friends could use to stay safe. It started as a detailed spreadsheet, where I hand-entered data from the official Butte County Dashboard every day, building graphs I could refer to. It evolved into the website you know, over many hours one weekend, when I decided this could be more generally useful to others.
I'm not an official from the county, or a medical professional, or an expert in virology. Just someone interested in the data.
