Notion is excited to resume work as an in-person company across our 4 global offices (San Francisco, New York, Dublin, Tokyo) once it is safe to do so.

We will be requiring everyone to be vaccinated before returning to the office. If you are unable to get the vaccine due to religious, medical, or any other reasons, please let your recruiter know as early as possible and they can loop in our HR team to work with you to make a reasonable accommodation.

Why is Notion planning to return to an in-person culture?

Most of Notion's team joined during the pandemic, so we want the opportunity to get to know each other and build stronger connections in the real world. We're passionate about the magic that can happen when people are in shared spaces. Notion is still so early, we want to harness all the creativity, brainstorming, and inspiration that comes from being together. That's how we'll keep moving fast :)

That said, we know every team and role is different, so folks are encouraged to work closely with their managers if there are special considerations.

When is Notion’s team planning to be back in office?

We’ll continue to work from home until it is safe to return to the office. Our highest priority is the health and safety of our employees and their families. We want to lean in on making sure our employees feel safe and will continue to monitor the key public health indicators which will help us guide our decision to reopen the office at a later date.

If I don’t see a role listed in a city I am currently located in and I am not open to relocation, can I work remotely?

At this time, we are not planning to hire remote positions outside the ones specifically listed as such on the careers page. We have small teams so working in one place helps us go faster and solve complex problems together. See more ☝🏽

Are you hiring remote contractors?

Yes, but only for specific roles and teams. Unless the role specifies it is a remote contract role, we are not hiring remote contractors at this time.

Do you cover relocation costs?

If you’re based elsewhere in the U.S. (or internationally and you are authorized to work in the U.S.), we’ll help cover some of your relocation expenses to whichever city your new role is based. Please make sure to mention that you are open to relocation when you apply and talk to your recruiter about our relocation packages.

Do you offer visa sponsorship?

Notion may sponsor a U.S. visa for candidates who are filling certain roles and will assess eligibility for sponsorship. Currently, Notion is not sponsoring visas for candidates residing outside of the U.S.
