I somehow found people who gave me opportunities and I benefited from my privileges. So it’s crucial to create spaces where others can be their best self no matter what their background or experience they had, allow alliances to happen, and make sure you’re supportive to people who are disenfranchised and ignored by a spectrum of the society. – Notes on my journey as a first-generation Latino immigrant Design Leader in Silicon Valley
During my mentorship sessions I support individuals to find their purpose, polish communication, have difficult conversations, identify opportunities, refine portfolio/resume and presentation skills, as well as more tactical job hunting, salary negotiation and promotion.
As I found people who gave me opportunities, I want to give back and help people under-represented groups, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people. If you're interested I start with one session, and follow up with the ones I see more shared opportunities for recurring mentorship. Everything discussed in these sessions are confidential and I am happy to sign NDAs if needed.
I usually check the form every 3 months, so if you don't hear back from me after 3 months, you unfortunately haven't been selected.
