Inkwell started from a simple idea: making classic pen-and-paper logic games as fun and social as word games. We’ve reimagined them for the digital age: thoughtfully crafted daily puzzles that challenge your logical thinking, help keep your brain sharp, build healthy screen time habits, and bring recreational math into everyday life.
No ads. No manipulation. No dark patterns. Just really good puzzles and a community that genuinely loves them. We aim to be the leading puzzle platform for math and logic games, built on principles of healthy, human-centered play.
We are growing fast, and it is time to bring on our first full-time engineer.
This is a generalist role. You enjoy working across the full stack—lots of frontend, backend, infra, data, and eventually mobile. You will be the second full-time person at Inkwell, working directly alongside the founder. Enormous ownership and real impact on what gets built.
Day to day, you will be:
And yes, there is housekeeping too. Writing scripts to pull data, integrating third-party tools, getting pixels to behave.
This is a web platform, not a native game. No Unity, no game engines. Our stack is TypeScript, React, Tailwind, Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Stripe, and PostHog. Mobile is TBD and we will figure it out together (likely React Native).
Mid-to-senior level. You have shipped real web and software products and can prove it.
