About the role

As a Founding Engineer at Readee, you’ll own major parts of our product and AI infrastructure from day zero. You’ll work directly with the founders to build the core experience: personalised micro-courses, dynamic quizzes, and the AI systems that power learner adaptation.

You’ll be shaping architecture, shipping fast, running experiments, and helping define the engineering culture for years to come.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and ship core product features across our full-stack (frontend, backend, and AI systems)
• Build systems that generate micro-lessons, evaluate learner performance, and personalise content
• Work with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, custom tuned models) to build robust, scalable workflows
• Set engineering best practices and establish foundational technical standards
• Work closely with design and curriculum to iterate quickly based on real learner feedback
• Help hire and mentor the earliest engineering teammates
• Own problems end-to-end—from brainstorming to deployment

You’re a great fit if you

• Have strong experience with modern web stacks (React/Next.js, Typescript, Python, Node, etc.)
• Have hands-on experience with LLMs, vector databases, RAG, or AI agent-like systems
• Thrive in ambiguous zero-to-one environments
• Move incredibly fast without sacrificing quality
