Role Overview
SVSG is on a mission to transform legacy businesses with AI agents. We do this by using our AI agent platform, Motion, to convert legacy software into AI agents that act like employees. Motion AI agents are helping companies generate leads at half the cost, convert sales opportunities at twice the rate, and more generally, fully automate ERP use cases.
We are seeking a Forward-Deployed CTO to lead customer installations and help bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI tech and real-world business value.
Responsibilities
Our Forward Deployed team members are the tentacles of our organization, allowing us to deeply embed inside our customers’ internal IT systems and apply tailored AI solutions where traditional SaaS vendors sit siloed.
As a leader of our Forward-Deployed team, you will play a key role in delivering our AI agent platform to customers. Your hands-on role will be cross-functional and cover the following activities:
- Technology Architecture
- Design product requirements, software architecture, and technology stack optimized for the client’s business context.
- Translate business strategy and KPIs into technical design decisions.
- Identify the client’s business strategy and objectives. Ensure the platform integration plan is aligned with measurable business outcomes.
- Work with the client’s technology counterparts to identify data repositories, decipher schemas, and translate data from relational databases into our proprietary graph database: the Motion Graph.
- Define how AI agents interface with the customer’s existing workflows and systems (APIs, databases, CRMs, ERPs).
- Engineering Management
- Lead engineering team(s) through design, development, testing, and deployment of AI Agent deliverables while frequently demonstrating progress and proactively communicating with the client.
- Maintain engineering velocity while balancing quality and flexibility.
- Client Management
- Ensure that each engagement is delivered on time and on budget.
- Ensure technical prowess is matched with a high level of client satisfaction and confidence.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboratively problem-solve and drive enthusiastic adoption of our AI agents.
About You:
- Former founder or early engineering leader at a startup that passed the product-market fit threshold (Series A or >$1M ARR).
- Hands-on technical leadership: experience selecting tech stacks, setting up CI/CD pipelines, managing code quality, and owning engineering execution.
- Proven track record of managing complex client deployments or professional services-style implementations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and client stakeholders.
