We welcome contributions to Backpack from across the company. If you work at Skyscanner give us a heads-up in our internal channel to ensure that you get the best support available and not repeat the work of another team.
Setup
Getting setup is as easy as:
- Creating a github.com account - if you don't have one already
- Becoming part of your team in the Skyscanner organisation
- Cloning the repository of choice (see Repositories)
After these steps you should be able to contribute to all backpack projects 🎉
Contributing
Once you are setup the contribution process is as simple as
- Engage with the backpack team to share your already accepted component specification
- Create your branch (Fork only if you are Skyscanner external contributor)
- Develop your component
- Verify you have met the backpack Acceptance Criteria (see below)
- Get your Pull Request approved and merged
- Request the backpack team to publish your new component documentation pages
- Done!
Should you need more help to setup the repositories please head to the contributing guidelines in each repository. There you will find detailed technical guidance
Acceptance Criteria
