Eugene Food Scene is a COVID Recovery Food locating app with aspirations to include food sources and networks beyond restaurant delivery and take-out.

We also hang out at The Progress Bar and Grill (a discord server) from time to time. Especially for events like Civic Jam: COVID Recovery Projects

This is an Open Eugene project and part of the Code for America network. If you would like to support this project you can become a Backer or a Sponsor at Open Collective.

The primary ways to contribute are:

• Research Social Media for updates to restaurants, menus, specials, etc. Check on open-hours and if they have curbside pickup. You can update the data in AirTable.
• Design a update of the UX/UI to be mobile friendly. The current data table format works OK on the web, but there is no mobile search, so it's kinda lame that way. Help it be more awesome on mobile.
• Work on the app technical pieces. We'd like to launch this as an app, more specifically a progressive web app. Open Eugene needs google and apple account set up. PWA manifest and some local storage options.
• Program managers and product owners. Wrangle the contributors, set milestones and manage todo lists using Notion.
