Florian is a deaf student attending Naranja academy enrolled in the STEM track. She adores surveying Pokémon and creating her own personal Pokédexes by hand.
Florian is of average height with a lean muscular build. They often wear sports casual clothing and ties their hair in various large scrunchies. She is almost always seen with a hat to protect themself from the sun, as he spends significant amounts of time outside. He has a few prominent moles and sports dolphin bite piercings, giving them an intimidating appearance.
Due to his deafness, Florian appears unapproachable and impossible to converse with. While Flor is capable of speaking moderately well and are often required to at home they are selectively mute privately and publicly. Despite the difficult barrier to communication, Florian is an exceptionally passionate and exciteable trainer eager to discuss dexing, surveying and archiving in general. Due to an overprotective home life she values his independence greatly to the point where their friends may have difficulties getting in touch with them.

A few months following my first playthrough of Pokémon Scarlet, I wanted to replay it again…and Florian was born from that character creator.
How I “played” with Florian directed how his character would turn out:
“Also the way I’ve played with Florian so far is that they’re pretty reserved and only interested in doing what they want to do but this obviously is detrimental to her own goals because helping others helps her in her interests (ie gym badges for level control on pokemon, increased mobility for Koraidon, and .. money?) Like he refused to give Koraidon a sandwich at first until he whined so she gave it to him”
I wanted to integrate some of his team’s visual motifs into his design, and noticed that I had an extremely fond attachment for both Altaria and Corviknight in my playthrough.
“i noticed that ive bonded a lot w flying types, so i might make her a flying type favoured trainer, since she likes altaria and corviknight sm. i like talonflame too but the design leaves a lot to be desired, but its an amazing mon to use”
Although Florian’s design has changed slightly since and lost the more Pokémon specific elements from their design, her preference of sporty clothing has stayed. I draw them in a wide variety of clothing and outfits but they all fit within an acceptable wardrobe they would realistically wear on a day to day basis, as well as what they’d have to wear according to what he’s doing in life (ie studying at BBA).
This has since changed. His design is mostly the same but lacking specific Pokemon elements and their team changed quite a bit.
