Welcome to the 14th Floor—a shared members space for the Human Flourishing Community within the Tower, intentionally designed for builders.
This is not a general sanctuary or open lounge; it is a dynamic design studio environment for those actively building the future of human flourishing. Whether you are a founder, designer, philosopher, scientist, or systems thinker, this space is for those developing tools, services, and ideas that contribute to (re)generative culture, collective well-being, and systemic impact.
This is a floor for doing, not just being. This floor is for those crafting the conditions in which flourishing becomes reality, at scale.
The Floor will be available to the Floor membership with some exceptions when the Floor is closed for accelerator or private event activities. During those times, Floor members may work in the co-working space on Floor 15. Until we have a live calendar here, check the posted calendar next to the entrance of the floor for times when the floor will be closed.
The Human Flourishing Floor is a shoes off space. We would like to leave some of the physical elements of 6th and market at the entrance to our floor rather than bring it inside. We have slippers for you to use if you like, or you can bring your own or just cruise around in your socks. We appreciate being respectful of this agreement.
We are working to mitigate some of the sound implications of the open space with the hardwood and no paneling. People needing to take calls should find a telephone booth on Floor 15, and generally be mindful of the space as a place for focused building and ideation!
This is a placeholder for now. We will figure out how to incorporate the events, both online and offline, into some sort of dynamic calendar that people can subscribe to and can see presented here. This calendar will include all organizations that are Floor members and their events both in person and online. We have been testing the idea of having a Floor Luma as a centralized place for all the amazing activities that are taking place on the floor for effective cross promotions of the theme of Human and Planetary Flourishing!
The Tower is also in process of reviewing the process of Tower events broadly, so as that process is sorted out we will also figure out how to support our events specifically. - we can discuss as a group to determine what makes the most sense. Maybe the Luma, maybe a GCal or something else or a combination of various things.
We will also start to figure out the mechanics of scheduling events on the floor from the perspective of managing floor presence and activities. Because the of the sound considerations right now, we have to be mindful of what areas of the floor can be used at the same time. We have the entire Floor at the same time for larger events, and for smaller events we have the Living Room, the Compassion Corner, The Womb Room, and the Picnic Area. Each of these places could be a location for an event. A/V, places to sit, tea service, etc are all things we need to consider to figure out!
We will also need to figure out a manual for Event hosts so they can execute the event with ease!
