User Personas and Target Users

This section will help you create hypothetical individuals that match your desired audiences. It’ll help you determine who your user is. Creating personas or identifying a Target audience helps you understand what they can do with your product, when they can use it and how they might access it.

The user personas you create don’t have to be extremely detailed, they need to be detailed enough to allow you to understand what they see the product as. Use Google Analytics to create these personas. Analytics provides important information such as the demographics of your users, where they come from, the keywords they’ve used, and the behaviors they display online.

Competitive Analysis

It is important to conduct a competitive analysis in a PRD because it helps the product team make informed decisions about the features, functionality, and overall design of the product. By understanding the competitive landscape, product teams can identify opportunities for improvement, identify unique selling propositions, and ensure that the product meets the needs of the target audience. Ultimately, a well-executed competitive analysis can help increase the chances of success for a new product or service.
