Your event support has been approved by SODA National! Amazing job 🥳 To get started on executing your event idea, follow these steps:

1. Connect with your Organ Procurement Organization (OPO).

• If you do not know your OPO, let us know by emailing [email protected] and Nicole, SODA’s Program Director, will introduce you.
• Ask your OPO when you can attend their volunteer training. Your OPO’s volunteer training program will make sure you can go into your community and have productive conversations about organ donation.
• Once you’re trained as a volunteer, see if your OPO has any volunteer events you can participate in after your event is over. Your OPO can also connect you with local speakers for events and more.

2. Reach out to your school’s Student Affairs office.

• Your school likely has an office dedicated to supporting student groups. If you need help identifying who to reach out to at your school, please email [email protected].
• Let the office know you want to host an event. They will connect you to resources on your campus and tell you about any special requirements for you to host an event on campus.

3. Host your event!
