Your first meeting with a student (60 minutes)
This first meeting sets the foundation for your mentorship relationship. Your goal is to get to know the student, understand where they are in their recruiting process, and leave them with concrete next steps before you meet again.
You’ll meet with your student every two weeks for 60 minutes. Each meeting should end with specific action items — and you must schedule your next meeting live before ending the call.
After each meeting with students, fill out this form to process your payments. Please also add contact@wallstreetguide.net to the calendar invite.

1. Getting to Know Each Other (0–10 min)
- Meeting Agenda/Overview:
- [ ] Share meeting roadmap: “Here’s the plan for today’s session — first, we’ll get to know each other a little, then I’ll ask about your career goals and where you are in your recruiting journey. After that, we’ll set some clear next steps before we schedule our next meeting.”
- Mentor Introduction:
- [ ] Introduce yourself and share your background: “Hi [Student’s Name], I’m [Your Name], and I’ve been in [industry/role] for [X] years. I work at [Company Name] as a [position], and I joined Wall Street Guide because I know how tough the recruiting process can be. My goal today is to help you feel more confident and clear about next steps in your journey.”
- [ ] Ask about the student: “Tell me about yourself — where you’re studying, what you’re majoring in, and what made you want to join Wall Street Guide?”
Goal: Help the student feel comfortable, open up, and establish a friendly tone for the relationship.
