We’re on a mission to empower 100 million people to live their healthiest lives. Too often, healthcare means waiting until something goes wrong, applying one-off tests, and providing generic recommendations. Calibre is different: we combine diagnostics, a deep understanding of causal mechanisms, and expert care (incl. prescribing) to guide people from their status quo to their desired health destination with clarity and precision. With a complete picture of their health and adaptive plans tailored to their lives, we deliver meaningful results today and safeguard their future.
We are an early-stage and collaborative team, bringing together world-class talent from various disciplines who care deeply about making a generational impact in preventive and longevity medicine. Our ambition is to build a new vertical category in proactive health - Causal Health Navigation. As our first clinician joining our founding Chief Medical Officer, you’ll be instrumental in turning this vision into reality.
Who You Are
You will be a ****pivotal early team member who will contribute setting the clinical foundation of our company. This is not a conventional clinical role. It requires curiosity, systems-level thinking, and the ability to integrate deep mechanistic insights across disciplines to empower our customers to live vibrant and healthy lives.
- Clinically trained: you are a GP or internal medicine physician, with specialisation or advanced practice in endocrinology, preventive medicine or psychiatry.
- GMC licensed: you have ≥5 years post-CCT experience and an active GMC licence and successful revalidation.
- Customer obsessed: you are sincerely interested and deeply care about your patients lives and are therefore able to communicate in a non-judgmental, high EQ way.
- Deeply interested in longevity & prevention: you think about how mechanisms of disease can be intercepted early, delayed, or reversed.
- Clinician + builder: you thrive in ambiguity, are comfortable starting from first principles, and are motivated to build a new paradigm of healthcare in a multidisciplinary team.
- Systems thinker: you are able to transcend the siloes of traditional medical specialties and integrate knowledge across cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, hormonal, psychological and musculoskeletal systems.
- Scientifically rigorous and naturally drawn to clinical excellence: you enjoy diving into primary research, question methods (incl. experimental design and statistics), synthesise conclusions across publications and assess robustness of causal evidence, while balancing pragmatism in applying insights to real-world contexts.
What You’ll Do
You will:
- Lead our customer facing clinical delivery - setting the bar for an exceptional customer experience and building the foundations that can scale with consistency, safety, and clinical excellence. You will help 30 to 45-year-old health-literate urban professionals connect the dots across extensive data and implement the most impactful actions.
- Oversee the clinical operating system - spanning CQC-aligned governance, clear scope boundaries, safety-netting and escalation pathways, and high-quality documentation - so customer care is consistently safe and ethical.
- Partner closely with our Chief Medical Officer, Reinhold, and our Chief Technology Officer, Ben, and his team to train and continuously improve our clinical AI, ensuring it reflects best-in-class clinical reasoning as we implement new tools and capabilities.
- Critically evaluate scientific evidence and guide how it translates into actionable health strategies.
- Develop, test, and refine causal models that underpin our clinical decision-making, ensuring recommendations are personalised, safe and impactful.
- Define, and relentlessly raise, the standard for what truly high-quality preventive, longevity-focused care should look like over the coming decades.
