Firecracker is a relic obtained from quests.

| Regular food items shorten your quest instead of your rescue cooldown. Leader abilities reduce yor rescue cooldown by 50% less but reduce your quest cooldown by 50% more. |
When you use a regular food item (Cake Slice, Cookie, Pizza, Coffee, Cake), your quest duration is reduced by 1/2/4/6 hours but your rescue cooldown is left unchanged. Additionally, when you rescue, if a leader activates, the cooldown reduction will be 50% less effective (e. g. a reduction of 1 hour would reduce 30 minutes, for a cooldown of 5.5 hours) but the quest shortening will be 50% more effective (e. g. if you have 7 days left of your quest and your leader ability would reduce it by 2 hours, it reduces it by 3 hours instead, leaving the quest at 6 days and 21 hours)
This relic mainly prevents accelerating your rescues in favour of accelerating your quests. This isn’t very good since rescues give more animals than quests, but can be useful if you want to finish your current quest quickly.
Some time ago, Firecracker didn’t change the leader reductions, but instead made food items half as effective. It was one of the worst relics, after API Key.
