Nyca is looking for an exceptional individual to with 5+ years of experience to help us invest in the best global fintech companies and actively support portfolio companies. As a Principal at Nyca, you will be a key member of a small and talented team. In this role, you can expect to be exposed to the top thought leaders in the fintech industry and build on your understanding of FinTech investing and how the legacy financial system and the fintech ecosystem interact. You will be leading key elements of the investment underwriting process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the underwriting and diligence process, modelling and investment analysis for attractive FinTech opportunities.
• Lead research and coverage for various FinTech sub sectors including industry market landscapes and maps for us to use in our investment theses.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and the Nyca network to build conviction around investment opportunities.
• Connect with the FinTech founder and the VC ecosystem to source deals.
• Enhance Nyca’s network with top financial institutions and be plugged into their needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience with at least 2-3 years in venture capital or relevant fintech operating experience. Additional experience can include private equity investing, consulting, banking, and operating experience at a startup.
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, visual)
• Very strong research, analytical and financial modelling skills
• Strong team player; no egos allowed
• Passionate about FinTech
