Role Description

Verak is looking for a Finance Administrator to handle its overseas billings, Indian accounting practices & tax & legal documentation. The candidate will be directly responsible to the CEO for a few months after which the candidate will be reporting to the COO.

Ideally, you have at least 2 years of work experience in a Finance role wherein you have been responsible for managing at least one set of business accounts .

This role is full-time with a preference for candidates who wish to work remotely for at least the next 12 months.

What are the expectations from this role?

The candidate would be expected to operate as an independent staff member capable of dividing their time between financial compliance tasks and financial operations tasks.

Since Verak is fully remote, the candidate would also be expected to be comfortable with using electronic communication with our banking partners (Kotak Mahindra & Silicon Valley Bank) and our service providers (Gandhi Paleja & Associates, Joyce Law and Outsight Legal California).

What would your day job involve?

  1. Maintaining compliance documentation on Google Drives for our auditors & CA
    1. Tax documentation (invoices, bills & payroll reports)
    2. Legal documentation (receipts for Profession Tax, TDS, GST etc)
    3. Company documentation (ESOPs, employment contracts etc)
  2. Payroll activity (via RazorpayX Payroll - payroll management software)
    1. Approving reimbursements raised by Sales & other staff
    2. Finalizing payroll & approving disbursement at the month's end
