Objective

To create a wearable AI assistant using Google AIY, Raspberry Pi Zero and a project that I created for ITP Camp 2019. I would like to learn to use the Raspberry Pi Zero and the Google AIY to create the semiautonomous robot friend.

Baby Cyborg Collar

Overview

This will be a smart-ass emotional support musical robot. The robot will have their own playlist that they can chose from. They will also interact with me to see how I am feeling which will trigger a choice of music that will be played. I would also like to have movement within the piece either in the eye or possibly some sort of movement in the wires. I could also have the mouth cross spin depending on the my or their mood. The original design had a hand roughly sculpted with the wire that I might try to replicate with a motor attached. I have thought about having small motors built into the collar where the robot can sooth me it I am feeling anxious.

I am considering the following options for the robots primary role:

• Time keeper
  • Sets an alarm while I am working on tasks to keep me on track. The robot would also, as a secondary role, be there to cheer me on and hang out.
    • Could I integrate my Google calendar so that they help me to stay on track? Can I set the robot to play music that will help motivate or calm me depending on what it reading in my calendar?
• Music Keeper
  • Keep an eye on my mood and plays music that would improve my mood or possible get me to move around.
• Movement Support
  • The robot would monitor my movement and play music that is appropriate and, if needed, gets me to move around. They would also be support in getting me to stay focused and active.
