We pass or use these blocks of buildings every day. We was interested in the light change on/in these neat square windows. During the day, the light in these window changes because of the color of the sunlight, and at night, the light switches because of people's sleep and rest.
These changes in/on windows can be regarded as data, recording people's lives. These buildings sit there quietly, but they carry people's lives. We wanted to explore the sounds of life in the whole building as a larger unit by collecting these variations of color and light in the window and translating them into sound.
Collect photos for several buildings window changes in daylight and nighttime for 2weeks. đź”—Â Google Drive
based on the idea of changes in block units, we thought about several directions:
1.1 The viewer could listen to specific time of different buildings by sliding the photo sequences of the building. The sound is premade and been generated based on the sunlight and night lights.
1.2 Hanging photo slides on the wall to let the viewer play with the sound behind by shifting the photos.
