Department: Field Operations    Reports To: Regional Field Director

The campaign is hiring Field Organizers to knock doors, make calls, recruit volunteers, and build a grassroots operation across Kansas. This is the core of the campaign’s voter contact program. Prior campaign experience is helpful but not required — what matters is work ethic, the ability to talk to people, and a willingness to put in the hours.

Responsibilities

• Execute the campaign’s voter contact program within an assigned turf, including door-to-door canvassing and phone banking.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to meet weekly voter contact goals.
• Build and maintain a volunteer pipeline through community outreach, events, and personal recruitment.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with community members and potential volunteer leaders.
• Enter and track voter contact data in VAN/VoteBuilder.
• Organize and lead canvass launches, phone banks, and other voter contact events.
• Execute assigned components of the GOTV plan in the final weeks of the campaign.

Experience & Qualifications

• Prior campaign, community organizing, or grassroots advocacy experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with voters and community members.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field.
• Willingness to work long hours including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Spanish language skills a plus.

What Success Looks Like

Field Organizers will be measured by weekly and cumulative voter contact numbers, volunteer recruitment and shift completion rates, and the strength of the volunteer operation within their assigned turf.
