🧾Field Driver User Manual

Field Driver is a distance-based animation tool for Adobe After Effects. It lets layers react to controller layers or a drawn path without requiring manual expression work.

You can use it to drive position, scale, opacity, color, rotation, look-at behavior, time remapping, and even custom effect properties from a single controller setup.

✨ What Field Driver Does

Field Driver calculates how close each selected layer is to a controller, then uses that distance to animate the properties you choose.

Typical uses include:

• interactive grids and pattern systems
• path-driven motion and reveals
• responsive typography layouts
• effect-driven motion design setups
• proximity-based animation without hand-keying every layer

📦 Installation

🛠️ Manual Installation

1. Unzip the downloaded package.
2. Copy Field Driver.jsxbin into your After Effects ScriptUI Panels folder.
3. Restart After Effects.
4. Open the panel from Window > Field Driver.
