The Big Idea: Without action, access is wasted.
Many Christians treat faith like a gym membership—glad to have access, but not really using it. In this message, we learn that Jesus didn’t just open the way for us to come to God; He also sends us out to help others find Him. We talk about our true identity as God’s image-bearers, what it means to be “born again,” and how we are called to be ambassadors and repairers in a broken world. This isn’t just about going to church—it’s about being the church on mission with Jesus every day.
Key Idea:
Jesus didn’t just save you from sin; He opened the door for you to come close to God anytime.
In the sermon, we talked about the gym membership picture. A lot of people have access to the gym, but they don’t use what’s inside. Being a Christian can be like that. Jesus has given you full access to the presence of God, but you still have to walk in and meet with Him.
The Bible says:
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence…”
— Hebrews 4:16
Because of Jesus, you are like a child who can go to their loving Father at any time, even in the middle of the night. You don’t have to be afraid. You don’t have to impress Him. You don’t have to earn His attention. You already have it.
In Pentecostal life, we talk a lot about “being in His presence.” That’s not just for Sunday worship or big altar calls. The Holy Spirit lives in you every day. You can step into God’s presence:
The question is: Are you just holding the “card,” or are you using your access?
