About FLIPWALK

FLIPWALK is an interval walking timer app. Alternating 3 minutes of fast walking and 3 minutes of slow walking lets you build a sustainable walking routine with shorter sessions than long-distance walking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do notifications work in the background? A. Yes. Once you grant notification permission, FLIPWALK alerts you to phase changes (fast / slow / turnaround / completion) even when the screen is locked or another app is in the foreground.

Q. Voice guidance is too quiet or doesn’t play. A. Check your iPhone’s volume and Settings → Sounds & Haptics. If you are using AirPods, see the “AirPods workaround” sheet inside the in-app Settings — Siri readout behavior may need adjustment on iOS.

Q. The step count or distance differs from Apple Health. A. FLIPWALK shows values for the current session, while the Health app aggregates the entire day. The numbers differ because the windows differ.

Q. Is my data uploaded to the cloud? A. No. All data is stored only on your iPhone. FLIPWALK has no server. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Q. Will my data carry over to a new iPhone? A. Yes, via iCloud backup. Workouts written to HealthKit also sync via Apple Health.

Q. The route on the map looks jagged or inaccurate. A. GPS accuracy depends on your location (indoors, dense urban areas, tunnels). FLIPWALK records the route as iOS reports it; we do not modify it.

Q. Can I change the duration of fast / slow phases? A. The phase length is fixed at 3 minutes each, following the standard interval walking protocol. You can change the number of sets (1–20) on the Home screen.
