Disclaimer: At the moment, enrollment in either course is completely voluntary and this FAQ is written in that context.

However, due to certain limitations in terms of logistics, if the organic split does not turn out to be manageable, we may have to migrate students from one course to another. The instructors reserve the right to change the enrollment policy if we absolutely have to: although please be rest assured that we are doing our best to ensure that everyone gets the option that they want.

We also request that you understand our rationale for floating two versions of this course, and please make sure that your choices respect the spirit with which we are offering these two options.

Note that the advice here for CSE and EE students also applies to those who plan to take up minors or dual majors in these disciplines and also to those who are aiming for a branch change into these disciplines.
