How to write meaningful session notes

<aside> ⚠️ The session notes you wrote will also be shared with parents. If there is anything that the parents can help with, write it in the session notes. If there’s anything you don’t feel comfortable directly sharing with parents, please reach out to the CC admin team for support in Slack!

  1. Write about what the student shared in their reflection, as well as your observation!
  2. Provide specific details from the lessons that support your observations, like questions that they asked, quotes, or concepts that they digested well.
  3. Talk about the student’s growth since last session!
  4. After you talk about areas for improvement, suggest ideas for working together to improve and suggest future learning opportunities.
