Sylvaeus leads the group to this hidden entrance to the Rebellion stronghold. Dayne insight checks Sylvaeus, and he seems to be being honest—putting faith in all of us and hoping for the same in return.
Dayne:
"Alright, I’ll give you a chance. Let’s see what this Rebellion’s all about.”
We enter what’s basically an entire underground civilization. Bards are playing, there are market stalls, a tavern, a rickety old throne. There are all different kinds of people. It seems like an abandoned/reclaimed dungeon.
We meet Ianoth there (our 5th member), who is speaking out trying to gather people.
Ianoth:
“Greetings, elven brethren. I am the son of a mason family from the town of Asheport. I myself am an alchemist. Might you introduce yourselves?”

Ianoth starts being racist to the human members (Lorin and Dayne), and Aelin leaves and goes to the bar lol
Dayne joins her because he is not about to deal with this racist guy.
The rest of the party makes it over to the bar too, and Greg shows up as well! It turns out he’s a part of the Rebellion too.
Greg gets super drunk, and Aelin steals his Cartier bracelet from him lol
The baker comes up and tells them that the leader is ready to meet them, and finally introduces himself as Sylvaeus. He tells them that he’s the leader’s right-hand man and he runs a bakery as a cover.
Sylvaeus explains that he and Thulrum (the Rebellion leader) found this dungeon together and cleared it out to create a safe haven for the Rebellion.
The group is brought into the strategy room to meet the leader of the Rebellion, a dwarf named Thulrum, who (keep this in mind) says:
Thulrum:
“Who have you brought for me this time, Sylvay?”
They say they have a series of puzzles to complete as the initiation/trial process.
We go through the series of puzzles. Lorin is shockingly good at solving them, and she and Aelin work together really well here.
In one of the puzzles, they have to pick the correct door, and once they figure it out, Aelin decides to go peek the “wrong” door just to see what would’ve happened—but gets trapped and ends up seriously injured in an Indiana Jones-style trap, while the rest of the party is working through the next puzzle.
They meet in the next room—Aelin is already there, after falling from the ceiling—and she has an arrow through her right shoulder and is bleeding everywhere from cuts and bruises lol
