The group meets at Greg’s tavern (Greg is a green orc who wears Gucci and Louis Vuitton).
They drink together and chat and meet each other. Dayne and Greg argue with each other, etc.
The party leaves the tavern and gets attacked by a group of thieves, who the party easily murders in their first combat encounter. Aelin gets first blood and does some crazy damage with her multiple dagger attacks, and Lorin looks over at her with her jaw “dropped.” Dayne gets pissed because they try to surprise attack Olwynn, and he murders some people as well.
The way Dayne kills people is with his polearm that is radiating with flames, and if he hits, he’ll use Divine Smite and a “big bolt of black lightning crashes down from the sky” onto the enemy.
Dayne:
“Fucking worth less than dust.”
Lorin shows off her large green greatsword (inspired by the Great Thunderblade from Zelda: BOTW) and also one-shots one of the bandits.
There is one final bandit left, who was hiding while we were attacking the others, and he screams and tries to run away. Aelin throws a dagger at him to stop him from running, then Olwynn casts “Drop” on him to make him drop his gold and rusty dagger. Then Dayne puts his spear under his throat and says:
Dayne:
“Was that all of your friends or do you have more rats hiding around here?”
Bandit:
“That was all of us, I swear!”
Dayne:
“I’m wondering if I should believe you or not. Maybe the truth will spill out of your throat after I cut it open.”
And then Dayne stabs him in the throat and he collapses as Dayne says:
“You’re worth more as fertilizer.”
They go back into the bar and talk to Greg and get more drunk while Dayne stays outside (Greg doesn’t like him, and vice versa).
Aelin leaves the bar and approaches Dayne, then “drunkenly falls” and tries to steal from him LOL but she fails the check and Dayne still catches her, grabs her wrist as she tries to steal, and says:
“Watch it.”
Greg points them in the direction of an inn nearby, and the gang goes to it, bringing Greg along with them (after Aelin invited him, lol). They meet Glinda, the innkeeper, who gives them 4 rooms (there’s 5 people with greg...)
Aelin kind of runs to her room even though she was the one to invite Greg and locks the door before anyone else can, and Olwynn and Lorin do the same. Greg is left standing in the hallway with Dayne, with only one room left between them...
Dayne, to Greg:
“You can sleep in my room... if you let me have your stupid fucking designer bag.”
(rolled a persuasion check and got a nat 1 LMAO)
Greg slams the door, leaving Dayne alone in the room, lol.
We wake up, and the innkeeper Glinda points us toward the bakery across the street and tells us to ask for pie, which is apparently a secret word for the Rebellion.
