🪄 What Is Programming?

Programming is the process of giving a computer a set of instructions — kind of like talking to a really obedient dog that does exactly what you say, step by step.

These instructions may look strange at first (like a mash-up of English and math), but they’re actually just commands. And once you learn how to use them, you can do almost anything — from art and animation to medicine and Mars rovers.

đź’ˇ Why Programming Matters (To Me)

What stood out the most to me is how flexible and powerful programming is. It’s not just for one kind of person or one kind of goal. Whether I’m building a drawing app, writing code for a robot, or designing a game or interactive story — it’s all rooted in the same foundation.

✨ “Whatever you think is cool… programming can help make that happen.” — That line really hit me.

It reminded me that I don’t need to start big — I just need to start. Even the small things (like drawing a snowman in JavaScript) are made from the same core building blocks as huge projects like self-driving cars or Pixar animations.

✍🏽 My Reflection:

I don’t just want to learn programming so I can code something flashy. I want to understand how it all connects — how the little things I’m building now are the foundation for bigger things I haven’t even imagined yet.

This isn’t just code. It’s communication. It’s storytelling. It’s invention.
