Project Description Kigezi Orphans and Vulnerable Children Living with HIV (KADOLHA), a grassroots organization working in southwestern Uganda, seeks to address a critical infrastructure gap at Rwabulindi Primary School in Rubanda District—a remote institution that serves children from the marginalized Batwa ethnic group. These children currently lack basic classroom furniture and are forced to sit on the bare ground during lessons, which adversely affects their health, comfort, dignity, and academic performance.

This project proposes to procure and distribute 60 locally made wooden benches to the school, ensuring that at least 180 learners (three per bench) can sit comfortably during class. KADOLHA will work closely with local carpenters in Rubanda to fabricate the benches, thereby creating a source of income for skilled community members. The intervention is both practical and sustainable, promoting inclusive learning while empowering the local economy.

The project embodies the principles of dignity, equity, and community-driven development. By supporting this initiative, Foundation Emanuele Antola will help create a safer, more respectful, and conducive learning environment for Batwa children—unlocking potential where it's most needed.
