“Forgot my textbook,” you whispered with a grin.

We pushed our desks together, and when you said “Thanks,”

Your smile made my whole world warm.

Just a few more minutes until the bell,

Just a few more minutes of being this close.

I wished the bell would never ring —

That time could simply freeze for us.

Staring quietly at those towering summer clouds,

I kept wishing our moments could last forever.

When the bell rang and we slid our desks apart,

You murmured, “See you later,”

And somehow… that made you even dearer to me.

After school, I hopped onto your bike
