About the role

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead development of Linux kernel modules, 2 teams - Compute and Storage. You’ll define the long-term technical vision, mentor multiple teams, and ensure delivery of reliable, high-performance software-defined storage solutions.

What you’ll do

• Lead and grow multiple engineering teams (Kernel, Storage Core, Storage Services, Backup Gateway).
• Define and execute technical strategy for storage and system components.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and other teams for seamless integration.
• Oversee maintenance, support, and quick resolution of production issues.

Tech stack: C, C++, Rust, Linux Kernel, Ceph, iSCSI/NFS/S3, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, REST, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, GitLab CI/CD, cloud environments (OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure)

What we expect

• 10+ years in software engineering with focus on systems, storage, or kernel development.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in Linux kernel, file systems, performance optimization.
• Proficiency in C/C++; Rust experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of distributed storage (iSCSI, NFS, S3), virtualization, and containers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
