On our team, we consider every situation as an opportunity to learn. We value individuals who take it upon themselves to expand their knowledge, both internally of our product, and of the industry as a whole. We strive to give employees the opportunities to explore new technologies and develop new skills, and focus on gains in collective knowledge rather than dwelling on the outcomes of specific projects.
Engineers and developers are encouraged and allowed to complete their day-to-day tasks and projects with a lot of freedom. This doesn't mean that you can't, or shouldn't, ask for support or input, but it does mean that it's assumed that you did appropriate research and planning before deciding on a tool or methodology. Within our aligned goals on larger initiatives and the general values we outline in this document, we value making it as easy as possible for everyone at Sokanu to do their job.
